Dog grooming salon + van

Muddy in. Good boy out.

Hand-scissored haircuts, warm oatmeal baths and not one kennel dryer, at our North Park salon or in a sky-blue van parked at your curb. Every dog goes home in a fresh bandana, with a report card.

02The spa day

Two hours, start to bandana.

Here’s a Tuesday with Biscuit, a medium mostly-terrier booked for a full groom. Your dog’s day runs the same way, at your dog’s pace.

  1. 9:30 am

    Hello, sniff, hello

Drop-off. We check coat, skin, nails and mood, and you show us the haircut you want. Photos of other people’s dogs are encouraged.

  2. 9:40 am

    A warm bath

Lukewarm water, an oatmeal shampoo with nothing you can’t pronounce, then two full rinses so nothing itches later.

  3. 10:05 am

    Fluff dry

Hand-held dryers on low heat, with a groomer beside your dog the whole time. We don’t own a kennel dryer and never will.

  4. 10:30 am

    The cut

Scissors, clippers and patience. Breed standard, or “less mop, still him.” We stop for breaks whenever your dog asks.

  5. 11:05 am

    Nails, ears, teeth

Nails trimmed and filed smooth, ears cleaned gently, teeth brushed with chicken-flavored paste. Yes, really.

  6. 11:15 am

    Bandana and report card

We text you a photo and a report card: behavior, skin notes, favorite treat. Everybody gets an A in being good.

04Reviews

Reviews from owners

4.9

From 612 owners. The dogs can’t type, but they pull toward our door, which we count as five stars.

“Ollie came home smelling like a bakery and strutting like he’d been knighted. The report card said ‘very brave with the dryer.’ I cried a little.”
Joanna M.Ollie, cavapoo, 2
“Our rescue used to shake at groomers. Hana did his first visit in three short sessions. Last week he pulled me through the door.”
Myles T.Rooney, rescue mix, 6
“The van parks outside my apartment in Ocean Beach and Bruno is back on the couch in ninety minutes. No car ride, no drama.”
Desmond R.Bruno, golden retriever, 9
“They called before trimming a mat behind her ear instead of just adding a fee at pickup. That’s the whole review.”
Sofia L.Lulu, dachshund, 11
“Asked for ‘less mop, still her.’ Got exactly that. Rosie speaks fluent doodle.”
Erin K.Maple, goldendoodle, 4
“Four stars only because my cat is now jealous of the bandana. Waffles has not taken it off in a week.”
Rob P.Waffles, corgi, 3

05The van

The salon has wheels.

Our sky-blue van carries its own warm water, power and grooming table. Hand us your dog at the curb and get a clean one back in about ninety minutes, no car ride required. Van visits add $25.

The van runs four days a week. Pick a day to see the route.

  • One dog at a time, so nobody waits in a crate.
  • Needs a curb or driveway 30 feet long. We bring the rest.
  • Hana drives Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Dev takes Wednesday.
