Your day, kept like a film.

We film weddings for couples who would rather live the day than perform it. Two of us, small cameras, no lights in your face and never a second take. Ten weeks later your film comes home on a reel, in a linen box, cut to the sound of your own vows.

The day, frame
by frame.

From the dress on its hanger to the last song, we're there for the parts you'll miss yourselves: your mother's hands, the toast nobody rehearsed, the light at 7:42.

An embroidered lace wedding dress on a brass hanger

    The dress, waiting

We arrive an hour before hair is done, and film the quiet before anyone needs us.

  2. V&V 214 ▸ 0224
A bride's hands folded on her dress, a diamond ring stacked with a gold band
    02A

    The rings, before

A macro lens and two minutes. No posing, just your hands and what's on them.

  3. V&V 214 ▸ 0324
A tulle wedding gown hung from an oak branch over a sunny lawn
    03A

    Out under the oak

Ten minutes of air before the cars arrive. Some dresses want to be outside.

  4. V&V 214 ▸ 0424
A veil drifting over a bouquet of tulips and lisianthus held against a white gown
    04A

    Down the aisle

Veil first, then the bouquet. One of us at the front, one at the back, both silent.

  5. V&V 214 ▸ 0524
Newlyweds holding hands, both gold wedding bands catching the light
    05A

    Hands, after the vows

Three microphones on you and your officiant, so every word is kept.

  6. V&V 214 ▸ 0624
Ivory lanterns, a tall candle and wine glasses on a table above the sea
    06A

    Tables by the water

Before the guests sit down, while the candles are still tall.

  7. V&V 214 ▸ 0724
The couple walking across a golden hillside at sunset
    07A

    The long way back

Twelve minutes of golden hour. We take four of them. You keep the rest.

  8. V&V 214 ▸ 0824
A silhouetted couple twirling in long grass against the setting sun
    08A

    First dance, in the grass

The band waited. You danced anyway, and we were already rolling.

Cut to your vows

Every film is built around what you said to each other, recorded on three small microphones and mixed with licensed music you choose with us.

Colour, graded by hand

Warm, soft, a little like the film your grandparents shot. Skin looks like skin and white dresses stay white.

A preview in two weeks

A sixty-second teaser lands in your inbox while you're still on the honeymoon. The full film follows in ten weeks.

How we work on the day

We never ask for a second take.

Documentary first, always. We'd rather miss a shot than stage one, so we plan hard, stand back and let the day happen the way it wants to.

  1. I
    Before

We learn your day by heart.

A long call in the spring, a walk through your venue at the hour you'll marry, and a timeline built with your planner. We find out who will cry first and where the light falls at six.

    • 90-minute planning call
    • Venue walk-through
    • Shared timeline
  2. II
    On the day

Two filmmakers, no lights, no staging.

Small cinema cameras that look like nothing, a 1979 Super 8 for the moments that deserve grain, and microphones on both of you and your officiant. Most guests never notice us.

    • Up to 12 hours
    • Super 8 on request
    • Clean ceremony audio
  3. III
    After

Cut to your vows, sent home in linen.

Cosima edits every film herself. Ten weeks later a linen box arrives: your film on a reel-shaped drive, your vows letterpressed, a strip of real frames and a link to share with the people who couldn't come.

Couples' words

Couples' words

“We've watched it on every anniversary and twice on bad days. Somehow Cosima cut it so my dad's toast lands just as the sun goes down.”

A soft veil drifting over a bride's bouquet of white tulips and pink lisianthus

“We forgot they were there. Then the film came, and there they'd been all along, catching everything.”

Saskia & Leander Los Olivos · May 2026

“The Super 8 made my grandmother cry. She said it looked exactly like her own wedding in 1961.”

Is your date still free?

Most couples book us twelve to eighteen months ahead. Check your date first, then tell us a little about the two of you.

Tell us about the two of you.

Cosima or Silas will reply within one working day, usually with a short film from a wedding like yours.

We hold dates for seven days while you decide. No deposit until you sign.

Do you film anywhere outside California?

Yes, about a dozen weddings a year. Within 90 miles of Santa Barbara travel is included; beyond that we charge flights and rooms at cost, nothing more.

Will we hear our vows clearly?

Always. We put small microphones on both of you and your officiant, and record the venue's sound desk for the toasts.

Can we choose the music?

You send us three songs you love, we license one of them or something in the same spirit. No copyright surprises when you share it.

How do we pay?

A 30% deposit holds the date once you've signed. The balance is due 30 days before the wedding, by bank transfer or card.
